Vietnamese Shaking Chicken (Gà Lúc Lắc)

Ingredients (Serves 1)

Chicken Breast270 g
Onion75 g
Bell Pepper75 g
Garlic15 g
Soy Sauce15 ml
Oyster Sauce10 ml
Black Pepper5 g
Lime0.5 medium
Cooking Oil7.5 ml
Lettuce25 g
Tomato25 g

Instructions

Cut chicken breast into 1-inch cubes. Mince garlic. Slice onion and bell pepper into thick wedges. Slice lettuce and tomato for serving.

In a bowl, marinate the chicken with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and half of the black pepper. Mix well.

Heat cooking oil in a large non-stick skillet or wok over high heat until shimmering.

Add the marinated chicken to the hot skillet in a single layer. Sear for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. Remove chicken from the pan and set aside.

Add the sliced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic to the same skillet. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp. Add the remaining black pepper.

Return the chicken to the skillet. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the chicken and vegetables, and toss everything together for 1 minute.

Serve immediately on a bed of fresh lettuce and tomato.
