Ingredients (Serves 1)

Ground beef250 g
Olive oil5 ml
Smoked paprika3 g
Oregano2 g
Cumin2 g
Onion powder1 g
Garlic powder1 g
Salt1.5 g
Black pepper0.5 g
Water50 ml
Taco shells45 g
Lettuce20 g
Tomato30 g
Cheddar cheese20 g
Salsa30 g

Instructions

Heat a pan over medium heat. Add a small amount of olive oil.

Add the ground beef and break it up with a spoon. Cook until browned.

Drain off any excess fat.

In a small bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, oregano, cumin, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

Sprinkle the seasoning mix over the cooked ground beef and stir to coat.

Add the water or broth to the pan and bring to a simmer. Let it simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly.

While the beef simmers, prepare your toppings: shred lettuce, chop tomatoes, grate cheese.

Warm the taco shells according to package instructions (bake or microwave).

Spoon the seasoned ground beef into the warm taco shells.

Top with shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, grated cheddar cheese, and a dollop of salsa from earlier or fresh salsa.
