Quick Sausage and Cabbage Sauté with Caraway

Ingredients (Serves 2)

Sausage300 g
Cabbage400 g
Onion100 g
Oil20 ml
Caraway Seeds4 g
Vegetable Broth100 ml
Salt2 g
Pepper1 g

Instructions

Slice the sausage into 1 cm rounds (2 minutes).

Thinly slice the cabbage and finely chop the onion (8 minutes).

Heat 20 ml of oil in a large pan or pot over medium-high heat (1 minute). Add the sliced sausage and cook for 4-5 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned.

Remove the sausage from the pan and set aside (1 minute).

Add the chopped onion to the same pan and sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened (4 minutes).

Add the sliced cabbage and 4 g of caraway seeds to the pan. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently, until the cabbage starts to soften (7 minutes).

Pour in 100 ml of vegetable broth, season with 2 g of salt and 1 g of pepper. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat and cook for 5 minutes until the cabbage is tender-crisp (5 minutes).

Return the sausage to the pan and stir to heat through (1 minute).

Serve the sauté hot.
