Quick Pan-Seared Beef with Sautéed Peppers, Onion, and Bulgur

- Water200 ml
Instructions

Slice the beef steak into thin strips. Slice the onion and bell peppers into thin strips. Mince the garlic. (10 minutes)

Cook the bulgur: Bring the water to a boil in a small pot, add the bulgur and a pinch of salt, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until water is absorbed. Let stand covered for 5 minutes after cooking. (12 minutes cook, 5 minutes rest)

While the bulgur cooks, heat the olive oil in a separate large pan over medium-high heat. Add the sliced onion and bell peppers and sauté until slightly softened and browned in spots, about 7-10 minutes. (10 minutes)

Add the minced garlic, rosemary, and thyme to the pan with the vegetables and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. (1 minute)

Push the vegetables to one side of the pan and add the beef strips. Season the beef with salt and pepper. Sear the beef for 2-3 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired doneness. (3 minutes)
