Quick Pan-Seared Beef Steak with Sautéed Zucchini and Tomatoes
Thinly sliced beef steak seared quickly to retain tenderness, paired with a flavorful sauté of seasonal zucchini and ripe tomatoes.

- Tomato300 g
- Onion100 g
- Garlic20 g
- Olive Oil20 ml
- Salt2 g
- Pepper2 g
- Zucchini400 g
- Basil10 g
Instructions

Thinly slice 500g of beef steak across the grain. Slice 400g of zucchini into rounds or half-moons. Chop 300g of tomatoes. Mince 20g of garlic and finely chop 100g of onion. Chop 10g of fresh basil leaves (5 minutes).

Heat 10ml of olive oil in a large pan or wok over high heat (1 minute). Add the beef slices in a single layer (cook in batches if necessary) and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove beef from the pan (3 minutes).

Add another 10ml of olive oil to the pan (1 minute). Add onion and garlic and sauté until fragrant (2 minutes). Add zucchini and cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly softened (4 minutes).

Add the chopped tomatoes to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes until they start to break down (3 minutes). Season the vegetables with salt and pepper.

Return the beef to the pan with the vegetables. Stir in fresh basil. Toss to combine and heat through (1 minute).
