Quick Pan-Fried Beef Strips with Sautéed Kale and Rye Bread

Ingredients (Serves 2)

Beef steak200 g
Kale150 g
Onion75 g
Garlic5 g
Olive oil15 ml
Salt1 g
Pepper0.5 g
Rye bread70 g

Instructions

Slice the beef steak into thin strips (5 minutes). Season generously with salt and pepper.

Chop the kale, slice the onion, and mince the garlic (5 minutes).

Heat 10 ml of olive oil in a large pan or skillet over high heat. Add the beef strips and sear quickly until browned on all sides but still slightly pink in the center, about 3-5 minutes depending on thickness. Remove beef from the pan and set aside.

Add the remaining 5 ml of olive oil to the same pan. Add the sliced onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and chopped kale to the pan. Sauté, stirring, until the kale is wilted and tender, about 4 minutes.

Return the beef strips to the pan with the kale and onion. Toss to combine and heat through for 1 minute.

Serve the beef and kale mixture immediately alongside slices of rye bread.
