Instructions

Prepare ingredients: Chop the onion (5 minutes). Mince the garlic (2 minutes). Dice the bell pepper (4 minutes). Dice the tomatoes (4 minutes).

Heat oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat (1 minute). Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up, until well browned (7 minutes). Drain excess fat if necessary.

Add the chopped onion and diced bell pepper to the pot. Cook, stirring occasionally, until softened (5 minutes).

Stir in the minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, oregano, and paprika. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

Add the diced tomatoes, cooked kidney beans, and beef broth to the pot. Stir to combine.

Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer for 16 minutes, stirring occasionally, to allow flavors to deepen.
