jarred or canned salsa verde200 g
low-sodium chicken broth50 ml
onion, chopped30 g
garlic, minced5 g
olive oil10 ml
salt1 g
chili powder (for seasoning chicken)1 g
fresh cilantro, chopped10 g

Instructions

Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces.

Season chicken pieces with salt and a pinch of chili powder.

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the chicken and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned on all sides, about 4-5 minutes.

Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 2-3 minutes.

Pour in the salsa verde and chicken broth.

Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has slightly thickened.
