Sausage150 g
Cabbage200 g
Apple100 g
Onion40 g
Olive Oil8 ml
Apple Cider Vinegar10 ml
Caraway Seeds1 g
Salt0.5 g
Black Pepper0.3 g

Instructions

Slice the sausage into 1 cm thick rounds (takes about 2 minutes). Thinly slice the cabbage (takes about 3 minutes). Core and slice the apple (takes about 2 minutes). Finely chop the onion (takes about 3 minutes).

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the sausage slices and cook until browned on both sides, about 4 minutes per side (total 8 minutes). Remove sausage from the pan and set aside.

Add the chopped onion to the skillet and sauté until softened, about 3 minutes.

Add the sliced cabbage and caraway seeds. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage begins to wilt, about 4 minutes.

Stir in the sliced apple and apple cider vinegar. Cook for another 3 minutes, or until the apple is slightly tender.

Return the sausage to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper and stir to combine.

Cook for a final 2-3 minutes to heat the sausage through and allow flavors to meld (total 2 minutes).
