Quick Beef and Cabbage Stir-fry

Ingredients (Serves 1)

Beef200 g
Cabbage150 g
Bell Pepper80 g
Brown Onion50 g
Garlic10 g
Ginger5 g
Soy Sauce15 ml
Rice Vinegar10 ml
Sesame Oil5 ml
Olive Oil10 ml
Salt1 g
Pepper0.5 g

Instructions

Thinly slice the beef against the grain into bite-sized strips (3 minutes). Season with salt and pepper.

Slice the cabbage, bell pepper, and brown onion into thin strips (5 minutes).

Mince the garlic and ginger (2 minutes).

In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil (1 minute).

Heat 5ml of olive oil in a large pan or wok over high heat (1 minute).

Add the beef strips and stir-fry quickly until browned, about 3-4 minutes (4 minutes). Remove beef from the pan and set aside (0.5 minutes).

Add the remaining 5ml of olive oil to the pan (0.5 minutes). Add the sliced cabbage, bell pepper, and onion and stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until slightly tender-crisp (5 minutes).

Add the minced garlic and ginger to the pan and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant (0.5 minutes).

Return the beef to the pan and pour the sauce over everything (0.5 minutes).

Stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and coats the ingredients (2 minutes).

Serve immediately (1 minute).
