Instructions

Dice beef into 1-inch cubes. Finely chop onion and garlic. Dice carrots and bell pepper.

Heat olive oil in a large pot or deep skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef and sear until browned on all sides, about 4-5 minutes. Remove beef and set aside.

Add onion, carrots, bell pepper, and garlic to the pot. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened.

Stir in tomato paste, paprika, and marjoram. Cook for 1 minute.

Return beef to the pot, add buckwheat groats and beef broth. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until buckwheat is tender and most liquid is absorbed.

Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
