Beef sirloin150 g
Olive oil10 ml
Chili powder3 g
Cumin2 g
Salt1 g
Black pepper0.5 g
Mixed salad greens100 g
Canned black beans80 g
Canned corn50 g
Salsa50 g
Lime juice15 ml
Fresh cilantro5 g

Instructions

Pat beef slices dry. In a small bowl, toss beef with 5 ml olive oil, chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper.

Heat remaining 5 ml olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Add beef in a single layer and sear for 1-2 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. Do not overcrowd the pan; cook in batches if necessary.

In a large bowl, combine salad greens, black beans, corn, and salsa.

In a small bowl, whisk together lime juice and any pan drippings from cooking the beef.

Pour the lime dressing over the salad ingredients and toss gently to coat.
