Pan-Seared Trout with Steamed Cabbage and Potatoes

- Trout Fillet220 g
- Potatoes150 g
- Cabbage200 g
- Dill5 g
Instructions

Peel and dice the potatoes into 1-inch cubes. Shred the cabbage. Place potatoes in a steamer basket over boiling water and steam for 10 minutes. Add the shredded cabbage to the steamer basket with the potatoes and continue steaming for another 5 minutes, or until both are tender.

While vegetables are steaming, pat the trout fillet dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

Heat 5 ml of olive oil in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the trout fillet skin-side down (if applicable) and sear for 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy and golden. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Remove steamed vegetables from the steamer. Drizzle with the remaining 5 ml of olive oil, a squeeze of fresh lemon juice, and chopped fresh dill. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
