Trout Fillet165 g
Leek140 g
Garlic4.5 g
Olive Oil9 ml
Whole Grain Bread62.5 g
Salt0.5 tsp
Black Pepper0.3 tsp

Instructions

Pat trout fillets dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.

Wash and trim leeks, discarding the dark green parts. Slice the white and light green parts into thin rounds. Mince garlic.

Heat olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.

Once hot, carefully place trout fillets skin-side down in the skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes until skin is crispy and golden.

Flip the fillets and cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until cooked through and flaky.

While trout cooks, in a separate small pan, sauté sliced leeks and minced garlic in a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat until tender and slightly caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.

Serve the pan-seared trout immediately with the sautéed leeks and a side of whole grain bread.
