Ingredients (Serves 1)

Mince Beef250 g
Whole Wheat Pasta100 g
Crushed Tomato200 g
Onion80 g
Garlic6 g
Olive Oil15 ml
Dried Oregano1 tsp
Dried Basil1 tsp
Salt1 pinch
Black Pepper1 pinch

Instructions

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil for the pasta.

While water heats, finely chop the onion and mince the garlic.

Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the mince beef and brown, breaking it up with a spoon, for 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.

Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the pan with the beef. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until the onion softens.

Pour in the crushed tomatoes, add dried oregano and basil, and season with salt and pepper. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat and let it cook for 8-10 minutes.

Cook the pasta according to package directions, typically 8-10 minutes for al dente.

Drain the pasta and add it directly to the pan with the mince beef sauce. Toss to combine. Serve immediately.
