Buckwheat Groats60 g
Tomato Paste20 g

Beef Broth100 ml
Paprika3 g

Bay Leaf1 leaf
Salt1 pinch
Black Pepper1 pinch

Instructions

Cook buckwheat according to package instructions while preparing other ingredients (typically boil 1 part buckwheat with 2 parts water for 15 minutes).

Slice beef into thin strips or small cubes. Thinly slice the onion and mince the garlic.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef and sear until browned on all sides, about 3-4 minutes. Remove beef and set aside.

Add sliced onion to the skillet and sauté until softened and translucent, about 3-5 minutes.

Stir in minced garlic, paprika, tomato paste, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

Return beef to the skillet, add beef broth and bay leaf. Bring to a simmer, reduce heat, cover, and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until beef is tender and sauce has slightly thickened.

Serve the beef and onion skillet mixture alongside the cooked buckwheat.
