Italian Lean Ground Beef Skillet with Spinach and Whole Wheat Pasta

Ground Beef180 g
Whole Wheat Pasta80 g
Spinach250 g
Tomato150 g
Onion50 g
Garlic10 g
Olive Oil10 g
Basil5 g
Oregano2 g
Salt1 pinch
Black Pepper1 pinch

Instructions

Cook whole wheat pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

While pasta cooks, finely chop the onion and mince the garlic.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned. Drain any excess fat.

Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the beef. Cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.

Halve the cherry tomatoes and add them to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes until they start to soften.

Stir in spinach, fresh basil, and oregano. Cook until the spinach wilts, about 1-2 minutes.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Toss the cooked whole wheat pasta directly into the skillet with the beef and vegetable mixture until well combined.
