Italian Grilled Steak with Roasted Asparagus & Garlic-Herb Farro
Succulent lean beef steak grilled to perfection, served with tender roasted asparagus and a hearty side of farro infused with garlic and fresh herbs.

- Olive Oil15 ml
- Salt1 g
- Pepper0.5 g
- Farro60 g
- Asparagus150 g
- Fresh Rosemary2 g
- Fresh Thyme2 g
Instructions

Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Bring a small pot of salted water to a boil.

Add farro to boiling water and cook according to package directions (usually 10-15 minutes for quick-cooking farro). Drain well.

While farro cooks, trim the woody ends off the asparagus. Toss asparagus with 5ml olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Spread on a baking sheet and roast for 8-10 minutes until tender-crisp.

Season the steak with salt and pepper. Heat a grill pan or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat with 5ml olive oil. Sear steak for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.

In a small bowl, combine remaining 5ml olive oil with chopped fresh rosemary and thyme. Toss the cooked farro with the herb-infused oil.
