High-Protein Steak and Green Bean Stir-fry with Ginger-Garlic Sauce

Ingredients (Serves 2)

sirloin steak (raw)220 g
dry rice125 g
green beans150 g
soy sauce (or tamari for gf)15 ml
fresh ginger5 g
garlic (cloves)5 g
olive oil5 ml
salt0.5 g
black pepper0.5 g

Instructions

Slice the sirloin steak against the grain into thin strips.

In a bowl, combine the steak strips with half of the soy sauce (or tamari), half of the minced ginger, and half of the minced garlic. Marinate for at least 10 minutes.

Cook the dry rice according to package instructions.

Snap the ends off the green beans.

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.

Add the marinated steak strips and stir-fry quickly until browned on all sides, about 2-3 minutes. Remove steak from the pan and set aside.

Add the green beans, remaining ginger, and remaining garlic to the hot skillet. Stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until green beans are tender-crisp.

Return the steak to the pan. Add the remaining soy sauce (or tamari). Stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until everything is heated through and coated in the sauce.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Serve the stir-fry immediately over the cooked rice.
