Instructions

Drain and rinse canned chickpeas. Press excess water from the firm tofu and cut into 1-inch cubes.

Finely chop the onion, tomato, ginger, garlic, and green chili.

Heat the oil in a pot or deep pan over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté for 3 minutes until softened.

Add grated ginger, minced garlic, and chopped green chili. Cook for 1 minute.

Stir in chopped tomato, chana masala powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, and coriander powder. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the tomatoes soften and oil starts to separate.
