Kidney beans75 g
Crushed tomatoes200 g
Onion50 g
Garlic5 g

Vegetable broth100 ml
Chili powder2 g
Cumin1 g
Smoked paprika1 g

Fresh cilantro5 g

Instructions

If using dried kidney beans, ensure they are pre-soaked overnight and rinsed well. Chop the onion and mince the garlic (4 minutes).

Heat the olive oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the ground turkey and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, for 5 minutes until browned. Drain any excess fat if necessary (1 minute).

Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot with the turkey. Sauté for 3 minutes until the onion is softened and translucent.

Stir in the chili powder, cumin, and smoked paprika, and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

Add the pre-soaked and rinsed kidney beans, crushed tomatoes, and vegetable broth. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, to allow the flavors to meld. Season with salt and black pepper.
