Step 1: Rinse buckwheat groats thoroughly. In a small saucepan, combine buckwheat with 100ml water and a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 12-15 minutes until water is absorbed and buckwheat is tender. Fluff with a fork.

Step 2: While buckwheat cooks, dice chicken breast into small pieces. Shred the cabbage thinly, chop the onion, and mince the garlic.
