Hearty Buckwheat and Ground Beef Skillet

Buckwheat Groats60 g
Carrot50 g
Onion50 g
Cabbage100 g
Tomato Paste20 g
Olive Oil5 g
Beef Broth150 ml
Garlic Powder0.5 tsp
Dried Marjoram0.3 tsp
Salt0.5 tsp
Black Pepper0.3 tsp

Instructions

Finely chop the onion, dice the carrot, and thinly slice the cabbage.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet or pot over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.

Add onion, carrot, and cabbage to the skillet with the beef. Sauté for 3-5 minutes until vegetables start to soften.

Stir in buckwheat groats, tomato paste, beef broth, garlic powder, dried marjoram, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.

Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until buckwheat is tender and liquid is absorbed. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
