Corn Tortillas2 g
Ground Beef150 g
Black Beans100 g
Onion40 g
Garlic5 g
Tomatoes80 g
Lettuce50 g
Salsa50 ml
Lime1 g
Oil10 ml
Cumin2 g
Chili Powder2 g
Salt1 g
Pepper0.5 g

Instructions

Preheat oven to 200°C. Lightly brush corn tortillas with 5 ml oil and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway, until crispy (12 minutes). Set aside.

Finely chop the onion and mince the garlic (4 minutes). Dice the tomatoes and shred the lettuce (4 minutes).

Heat the remaining 5 ml oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up, until browned (5 minutes).

Drain excess fat if necessary. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic and cook for 3 minutes until softened (3 minutes).

Stir in cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant (1 minute).

Drain and rinse black beans. Add to the pan with the beef and mash roughly with a fork while heating through for 3-5 minutes (5 minutes).

To assemble, place baked tostada shells on plates. Spread a layer of the mashed bean mixture on each. Top with the seasoned beef.

Add shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes. Drizzle with salsa and squeeze fresh lime juice over the top (2 minutes).
