Turkey Meatballs with Tomato Sauce and Zucchini Noodles

Egg50 g
Flour20 g
Onion100 g
Garlic10 g
Olive oil10 ml
Passata200 ml
Basil5 g
Oregano3 g
Salt2 g
Pepper1 g
Zucchini300 g

Instructions

Finely chop 100 grams of onion and 10 grams of garlic, about 5 minutes.

In a large bowl, combine 230 grams of ground turkey, 50 grams of egg, 20 grams of flour, half of the chopped onion and garlic, half of the chopped basil and oregano, 1 gram of salt, and 0.5 grams of pepper. Mix gently to combine for 8 minutes.

Roll the mixture into meatballs, approximately 5 minutes.

Heat 10 milliliters of olive oil in a pot or deep pan over medium heat for 1 minute.

Add the remaining chopped onion and garlic and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.

Pour in 200 milliliters of passata, add the remaining basil and oregano, 1 gram of salt, and 0.5 grams of pepper. Bring to a simmer, about 5 minutes.

Carefully add the meatballs to the simmering sauce. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through.

While the meatballs are simmering, spiralize 300 grams of zucchini into noodles, about 5 minutes.

Add the zucchini noodles to the pot during the last 3 minutes of simmering, stirring gently to coat with sauce and heat through.
