Kimchi47.9 g
Mayonnaise11.2 g
Sriracha5 ml
Soy Sauce10 ml
Sesame Oil3.6 ml
Garlic1 clove
Ginger0.3 inch
Green Onion0.7 stalk
Sesame Seed3.3 g

Instructions

Thinly slice the beef sirloin against the grain into bite-sized strips (partially freezing can help with slicing).

In a bowl, combine the beef with soy sauce, 8ml of sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Marinate for at least 10 minutes while you prepare other components.

For the spicy mayo, whisk together the mayonnaise and sriracha in a small bowl until smooth. Adjust sriracha to your preferred spice level. Set aside.

Wash and separate the butter lettuce leaves, arranging them on a serving platter. Chop the green onions for garnish.

Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Add the remaining 3ml of sesame oil. Once hot, add the marinated beef in a single layer, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until nicely seared and cooked through, working in batches if necessary. Do not overcook to keep the beef tender.

Once all beef is cooked, transfer it to a serving bowl.

To assemble, spoon some beef into a lettuce cup, top with a spoonful of kimchi, drizzle with spicy mayo, and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
