Seared Steak with Roasted Broccoli and Garlic Rice
Tender seared steak paired with simply roasted broccoli and fragrant garlic rice. A classic, satisfying, high-protein dinner.

- broccoli florets150 g
- garlic, minced10 g
- olive oil18 ml
- salt2 g
- black pepper2 g
- steak, top round or sirloin, raw210 g
Instructions

Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).

Toss the broccoli florets with 5 ml of olive oil, half of the salt, and half of the black pepper on a baking sheet. Roast for 15-20 minutes, or until tender and slightly browned.

Pat the steak dry and season generously with the remaining salt and black pepper.

Heat 8 ml of olive oil in a cast-iron skillet or oven-safe pan over high heat until shimmering.

Carefully place the steak in the hot pan and sear for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or adjust time for desired doneness.
