Onion50 g
Oil15 ml
Lime15 ml
Cumin2 g
Chili Powder2 g
Paprika1 g
Garlic Powder1 g
Salt1 g

Corn Tortillas120 g
Black Beans100 g

Instructions

Thinly slice the beef steak against the grain into strips (5 minutes).

In a bowl, toss the beef strips with half of the oil, lime juice, cumin, chili powder, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Let marinate while you prepare the vegetables (5 minutes).

Slice the peppers and onion into thin strips (5 minutes).

Heat the remaining oil in a large skillet or cast iron pan over high heat until shimmering (1 minute).

Add the marinated beef strips to the hot pan in a single layer (cook in batches if necessary to avoid crowding). Sear for 2-3 minutes per side until browned but still slightly pink in the center (8 minutes). Remove beef from the pan and set aside.

Add the sliced peppers and onion to the same pan. Sauté, stirring occasionally, until softened and slightly charred, about 8-10 minutes.

Return the beef to the pan with the vegetables and toss to combine. Cook for another 1 minute to heat through.

While the beef and vegetables cook, warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet, microwave, or oven until pliable (2 minutes).

Warm the black beans in a small pot or microwave (5 minutes).

Serve the steak and vegetable mixture with warm corn tortillas and a side of warm black beans.
