Quick Millet Porridge with Sautéed Apple and Cinnamon

Ingredients (Serves 2)

Millet100 g
Plant Milk500 ml
Apple150 g
Cinnamon4 g
Maple Syrup10 ml
Oil10 ml

Instructions

Rinse the millet under cold water using a fine-mesh sieve for 1 minute.

In a small saucepan, combine the rinsed millet and 500 ml of plant milk. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.

Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the millet is tender and the liquid is absorbed. While the millet cooks, prepare the apple.

Peel (optional), core, and dice the apple into 1 cm pieces (3 minutes).

In a separate small pan, heat 10 ml of oil over medium heat (1 minute). Add the diced apple and 2 g of cinnamon. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until slightly softened.

Once the millet is cooked, stir in 10 ml of maple syrup.

Divide the porridge between two bowls and top each with half of the sautéed apple.
