Pan-Seared Tofu Bites with Ginger-Soy Glaze

Pan-Seared Tofu Bites with Ginger-Soy Glaze

Ingredients (Serves 2)

Firm tofu175 g
Soy sauce (dairy-free)7.5 ml
Sesame oil2.5 ml
Fresh ginger (grated)2.5 g
Olive oil2.5 ml

Instructions

1
Drain the tofu well. Press out excess water by wrapping it in paper towels or a clean cloth and placing something heavy on top for 10-15 minutes. Cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes (about 2-3 cm).
2
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, and grated ginger for the glaze.
3
Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
4
Add the tofu cubes in a single layer (cook in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding). Cook for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
5
Once tofu is seared, pour the glaze over the tofu in the pan. Gently toss or stir the tofu to coat evenly.
6
Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the glaze slightly thickens and coats the tofu.
7
Remove from heat and serve warm as a snack.
