Homemade Hummus with Crispy Veggie Sticks and Whole Grain Crackers

Chickpeas100 g
Tahini5.6 g
Lemon Juice7.5 ml
Garlic1 clove
Olive Oil2.8 ml
Whole Grain Crackers17.5 g
Cucumber0.3 medium
Carrot0.5 medium
Bell Pepper0.3 large
Celery0.5 stalk

Instructions

Step 1: Drain and rinse the canned chickpeas. Peel and roughly chop the garlic clove. Wash and chop all vegetables (cucumber, carrots, bell pepper, celery) into sticks for dipping.

Step 2: In a food processor, combine the drained chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, chopped garlic, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, salt, and cumin. Blend until smooth, adding a tablespoon or two of water as needed to reach desired consistency (approx. 3-5 minutes).

Step 3: Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl. Create a small well in the center and drizzle with the remaining 0.5 tablespoon of olive oil.

Step 4: Arrange the vegetable sticks and whole grain crackers around the hummus for dipping. Serve immediately.
