Ingredients (Serves 2)

Large eggs5 pcs
Salt1 pinch
Black pepper1 pinch

Instructions

Carefully place the eggs in a saucepan.

Add enough cold water to cover the eggs by about 2-3 cm.

Bring the water to a rolling boil over high heat.

Once boiling, immediately remove the pan from the heat, cover tightly with a lid, and let stand for 9-12 minutes for hard-boiled eggs (9 minutes for slightly softer yolk, 12 minutes for firm yolk).

While the eggs are resting, prepare an ice bath by filling a bowl with ice and cold water.

After the resting time, carefully transfer the eggs from the hot water to the ice bath using a slotted spoon.

Let the eggs cool in the ice bath for at least 5 minutes. This stops the cooking process and makes them easier to peel.

Peel the eggs, season with salt and pepper if desired, and serve.
