Preheat a small dry pan over medium heat.

Add the almonds to the pan and toast, stirring frequently, until lightly golden and fragrant (2-3 minutes). Be careful not to burn them. Remove from heat and let cool.

Wash the mixed berries thoroughly and pat dry. If using larger berries like strawberries, you can halve or quarter them.
