Baked Apple with Cinnamon and Toasted Almonds

Apple150 g
Almond12.5 g
Maple Syrup5 g
Cinnamon1 g
Coconut Oil1 g

Instructions

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).

Wash and core the apples, leaving the bottom intact. Slice them into rings or halves.

In a small bowl, toss the apple slices with melted coconut oil and cinnamon.

Place the apple slices on a small baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until apples are slightly tender.

While apples bake, toast almonds in a dry pan over medium heat for 2-3 minutes until fragrant. Be careful not to burn them.

Remove apples from oven, drizzle with maple syrup, and sprinkle with toasted almonds. Serve warm.
