High-Protein Buckwheat Porridge with Pear and Seeds

Ingredients (Serves 1)

Buckwheat groats60 g
Plant milk250 ml
Protein powder30 g
Pear100 g
Sunflower seeds15 g
Cinnamon2 g

Instructions

Measure 60g of buckwheat groats and rinse them under cold water (1 minute).

In a small saucepan, combine the rinsed buckwheat groats and 250ml of plant milk. Add 1g of cinnamon (1 minute).

Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally (2 minutes).

Reduce heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 10 minutes, or until the buckwheat is tender and the liquid is absorbed. Stir once halfway through.

While the porridge simmers, core and dice 100g of pear (4 minutes).

Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in 30g of protein powder until fully combined and smooth (2 minutes). If the porridge is too thick, add a splash more plant milk.

Pour the porridge into a bowl. Top with the diced pear, 15g of sunflower seeds, and the remaining 1g of cinnamon (1 minute).
