High-Protein Buckwheat Porridge with Apple and Walnuts

Buckwheat Groats40 g
Whey Protein Powder50 g
Water200 ml
Apple100 g
Walnuts20 g
Cinnamon2 g

Instructions

Step 1: Rinse the buckwheat groats under cold water. In a small saucepan, combine the rinsed buckwheat groats and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes, or until water is absorbed.

Step 2: While buckwheat cooks, core and dice the apple into small pieces.

Step 3: Once buckwheat is cooked, remove from heat. Stir in the whey protein powder until fully combined and smooth. If too thick, add a splash more water.

Step 4: Transfer the porridge to a bowl. Top with diced apple, chopped walnuts, and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Serve immediately.
